AWS DevOps Engineer

Location: New Jersey South Plainfield USA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure on AWS cloud platform.
  • Implement and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM to support our applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other CI/CD tools to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
  • Configure and manage containerization platforms such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • Conduct security assessments and implement security best practices to protect our cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner, following incident response procedures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve system architecture, reliability, and scalability.
  • Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Educational Qualification and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
